The World Cup is about to begin! The Netherlands national team is ready to give it their all at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Wondering where you can watch the matches on the big screen? Read on to find out.
From 11 June to 19 July, the FIFA World Cup will take place across Canada, Mexico and the United States. With the tournament being held on the other side of the world, matches will mostly be played during the evening or late at night in the Netherlands.
To make sure supporters can enjoy the full match, any game that kicks off no later than 10:00 pm will be shown until the final whistle — even if the venue would normally close earlier.
You do not have to head to a pub to soak up the World Cup atmosphere. At Pathé Schouwburgplein, all matches involving the Netherlands and Curaçao will be shown on the big cinema screen. A World Cup Fan Zone will also be set up on Schouwburgplein itself, where supporters can watch live coverage of key fixtures, including the opening matches of Curaçao and Cape Verde. Tickets are available from €10, making it an affordable way to experience the tournament atmosphere with fellow fans.
It would not be a World Cup in Rotterdam without Stadhuisplein turning orange. Once again, the square’s cafes are joining forces to create a dedicated fan zone, making it one of the city's main hotspots for following the tournament. Throughout the 2026 World Cup, football fans can gather here to watch the action and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
One of the standout venues is Café ’t Fust, where matches will be shown on multiple large screens both indoors and on the terrace. Entry is free, there will be a live DJ to keep the atmosphere going, and the celebrations are set to continue long after the final whistle.
This vibrant urban hotspot at Hofplein is always buzzing with atmosphere. The deck chairs on the terrace are perfect for settling in with a drink, relaxing with friends and enjoying the football together on the big screen.
At Station Bergweg, there’s always a lively vibe. You can grab food and drinks from different stands while watching the matches on a big screen. And when the Netherlands scores, it’s time to celebrate — with a shot of Salmari for every goal. So make sure you’ve had a solid base before kick-off, because this is set to be one to remember!
In the former Tropicana building you’ll now find Bar Stroom. Here you can watch the World Cup right by the Maas, on a big screen with the stunning backdrop of the Rotterdam skyline. From the sunny deck, enjoy the match with a drink in hand, alongside a bitterballen snack or a burger.
A well-known spot to watch the Dutch national team in action is Café Van Zanten. During every major football event, they turn their terrace into a full-on celebration. Do keep in mind that tickets are required for entry at this venue, and they tend to sell out quickly!
A cold beer, big screens and the feeling of watching the World Cup in your own living room: Villa Kakelbont at Halvemaanpassage becomes one of Rotterdam’s go-to spots during the tournament. From 11 June onwards, all matches that fall within opening hours will be shown on multiple screens with sound – from the Netherlands to unexpected underdogs.
On top of that, you can join a prediction pool with prizes, collect stamps for extra perks, and enjoy entertainment during half-time. Entry is free and no reservation is needed: just walk in, bring your friends and experience the World Cup the way it’s meant to be watched.
The World Cup is best enjoyed together, and at Keilecafé you can do exactly that this summer, watching the matches outdoors on a big screen. With a drink in hand and snacks on the side, it’s the perfect laid-back setting to enjoy the games with friends in a true summer atmosphere.
On the schedule are Netherlands vs Japan on 14 June and Netherlands vs Sweden on 20 June. You can also catch the final live here on 19 July.
Maaskantine is of course an essential part of this list. Here, all matches featuring the Dutch national team will be shown, while you enjoy a cocktail, a cold beer and tasty bites with views over the Maas.
Entry is €3 and tickets are available here.
