Everything about Eurekaweek 2025
The Eurekaweek in Rotterdam, also known as the largest introduction week in the Netherlands. With thousands of students, spread over several days, it promises to be an unforgettable party every year.
Have you chosen to study at Erasmus University? A great choice! Not only do they offer highly regarded programmes, but the campus has been completely renovated and offers every possible facility. Furthermore, the campus is close to Rotterdam's city centre, making it easy to explore all the wonderful things our city has to offer.
During Eurekaweek, you'll learn all about what the university has to offer. You'll explore the various facilities and get to know the associations affiliated with the university.
This year, Eurekaweek is all about Unfold Your Future. It's the start of a new and exciting chapter in your life, brimming with opportunities and new experiences. The future lies before you, ready to be discovered.
For many first-years, this week marks the beginning of a remarkable journey. You'll meet new people, create memories you'll never forget, and discover step by step which direction your path will take. With every choice, every conversation, and every new adventure, you shape your own future.
Over four days, you'll complete the programme with a group of other students and your supervisor(s). These are all people in the same boat, starting a new programme with you. This makes it a great opportunity to make new friends before the first day of classes.
Eurekaweek 2025 starts with pre-registration on Sunday, August 17th. Can't make it? You can register on Monday, August 18th at Ahoy.
Upon presentation of your Eurekaweek ticket, you'll receive a personalized wristband and a participant bag filled with goodies to use throughout the week. Afterward, you'll meet your group and guides, and Eurekaweek will kick off by watching the Opening Ceremony together. During the Opening Ceremony, you'll learn all about the university and its student associations!
Monday also features Campus Day and Rotterdam Roulette. On campus, you'll also find Basecamp every day, the perfect place to relax, unwind, and recharge before heading to your next event.
Tuesday, August 19th, is a sporty day! Sports & Play is on the agenda – where you can burn off all your energy with a game of badminton or boxing. There's also the well-known Cantus at Ahoy and a Comedy Night at Club Haug.
On Wednesday, August 20th, you'll be joining the Club Tour. Meet new people and participate in all sorts of fun activities. During the Rotterdam Tour, you'll visit several locations throughout the city for free, including museums and exhibitions.
Finally, you'll end Eurekaweek with a bang! During the Festival, you'll enjoy the final moments of your Eurekaweek with musical performances by the most popular up-and-coming artists in the Netherlands.
During Eurekaweek, you and your group will thoroughly explore the city, but you won't be able to cover everything. Rotterdam is undoubtedly a great student city.
