Rotterdam wants to reduce the use of plastic bottles and encourage residents and visitors to drink tap water. That is why the municipality, together with Evides, is installing more and more taps in the city. These are free to use and provide the same pure drinking water that comes out of the tap at home.
One of the most famous places to fill your bottle is at Rotterdam Central Station. At the back of the station, a water tap is ready for travelers who have just arrived or are on their way.

A water tap can be recognized by its compact design, usually a column or fountain with a button or lever. You can easily refill your own bottle, or take a sip if you don't have anything with you. The taps are available all year round, although the supply may be temporarily shut off in the event of frost.
Do you want a handy overview of all taps in Rotterdam? On the websites of the Municipality of Rotterdam and Evides there is a digital map where you can find all water taps.
