The Block: Delftsehof gets temporary skate park
We mogen weer rollen! Het bekende skate event van Rotterdam 'Wednesday Night Skate' is ook dit jaar weer terug. Dat betekent dat in juli en augustus je op de woensdagavonden je skates uit de kast trekt voor een ouderwets gezellig rondje Rotterdam.
This year, you can once again skate on summer Wednesday evenings during Rollerdam (the Wednesday Night Skate), from July 23rd to August 27th. Naturally, there's some great music playing in the background.
The Wednesday Night Skate has two routes. For the first three evenings, the route starts and ends at Museumpark. The break will take place in the artistic setting of Beeldenpark Brutus. For the last three editions, the group will depart from De Gele Kanarie on Binnenrotte, with Kralingse Pas providing the perfect spot for a well-deserved break.
Don't have skates but still want to enjoy this Rotterdam tradition? No worries, you can rent roller skates and protective gear at every edition. Roller skates start at €10, and protective gear costs €1 each.
