The Rotterdam Rooftop Days are back! From May 30 to June 7, discover Rotterdam like you've never seen the city before – from the roof!

This year, the festival will feature a new, compact layout. In the area around Hofplein, Weena and Stationsplein, dozens of rooftops are located within walking distance of one another. Perfect for spending a day strolling from hotspot to hotspot — but at height.

From roof to roof

During this edition, no fewer than 42 rooftops will open their doors. Places that normally remain closed will be temporarily accessible to the public. You can easily walk from one location to another, discovering a new view each time. Whether you come for the panorama, the atmosphere, or the surprises along the way, every rooftop has something unique to offer.

What to expect

The Rotterdam Rooftop Days are much more than just beautiful views. On the rooftops, you’ll find a vibrant programme including art, music, performances, and delicious food and drink. It feels like a festival — but spread across the rooftops of the city centre.

The programme mainly takes place over two weekends: 30 & 31 May and 6 & 7 June. With a day pass, you can create your own route and gain access to a selection of ten rooftops with programming. For some smaller rooftops, you’ll need to book a guided tour in advance.

And there’s plenty to enjoy in the evening as well: think film, dance, and theatre in the open air, with the Rotterdam skyline as your backdrop.

Highlight: Walk The Block

An absolute must-see this year is Walk The Block, a unique route across the Schiekadeblok. This creative part of the city, known for its nightlife and cultural initiatives, is facing significant change — making this the perfect moment to experience it.

Especially for the festival, a temporary elevated walkway will be constructed, connecting several rooftops. Via bridges and stairways, you’ll walk across twelve rooftops and discover the area from a completely new perspective.

Along the way, you’ll learn more about the history, the makers, and the future of this area. Walk The Block can only be visited during the festival weekends and operates with timed entry slots.

Practical information

The full programme will be announced in April. Ticket sales will also begin then, including reservations for tours and Walk The Block.
