King's Day 2026

Celebrate King's Day 2025 in Rotterdam! On Monday, April 27, 2026, the streets of Rotterdam will turn orange once again. It is time for a good old-fashioned party, a stroll through the flea markets, or, of course, a day of shopping in Rotterdam!

Shopping on King's Day in Rotterdam 2026

We know better than anyone that Rotterdam is unique. This applies especially on King's Day, because the shops in Rotterdam Centre are open regularly on Monday, April 27. This means that the shops open their doors at 9:00 or 10:00 am. Are you coming for a day of shopping in the festive centre?

King's Day festivals in April

Would you rather celebrate the day with a good festival? Every year a few popular parties are planned where there will be music, drinks, fun and food all day long. As always, you celebrate the Kralingse Bos Festival l in the Kralingse Bos. For euphoric rave, rattling techno and hypersonic house, go to Oranjebitter in the Roel Langerakpark.

Of course there will also be a lot of parties and festivals in other places in the city. Think of Stadhuisplein, Kingsland in the Zuiderpark, Kroonjuweel in the Keilecafé and a great party in the Garden of Bird.

MOMO Festival

From April 16 to 18 it's time for the MOMO Festival in Rotterdam! Expect live music, art, performances and tours around the city. With a growing line-up, a great party is waiting for you. Buy your day ticket or a 3-day ticket now via the MOMO website!

Kids Marina

Fancy getting on the water with your children? Then Kids Marina in Leuvehaven, behind the Maritime Museum, is a good option. This amazing place will open again after Easter weekend.

In this great water attraction, children are at the helm and can steer the boats. A super fun way to learn more about the port and its functions and vessels. There are different types of boats: a fire boat, police boat, container boat, tour boat and a harbour service boat.

Each boat trip takes 15 minutes. The model boats are powered by electric motors and are easy for children to control. Of course, parents can also come along as passengers!

Swan Market

The Swan Market returns to Rotterdam this summer. Small, creative entrepreneurs provide a great cozy atmosphere and a creative and always innovative offer. Here you can once again find the coolest and most diverse products. So if you are a creative shopper, or perhaps want to sell something yourself, come and 'swann' at this inspiring market on Parklaan on Monday, April 6 (Easter Monday).

Hunting for “Easter Acorns” at Trompenburg

Looking for a fun activity with your children over Easter? During the Easter weekend from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April 2026, you can come and search for “Easter acorns” in the gardens of Trompenburg! They are hidden in the trees, and unlike traditional Easter eggs, there’s no need to collect them in a basket.
