Visit the World Port Days 2025 in Rotterdam
Warm evenings, a cool drink in your hand, and the skyline of our city in the background. Watching movies outdoors has a certain magic. Luckily, Rotterdam is bursting with open-air cinemas again this summer.

The Pleinbioscoop cinema has become a true Rotterdam tradition. This year, the film festival will take place from August 14th to 30th at the head of the Wilhelminapier, right in front of Hotel New York. Expect a mix of classics, premieres, and crowd-pleasers. You'll watch the films under the stars, equipped with comfortable headphones so you don't miss a thing. Of course, there will also be plenty of tasty treats. The view of the Maas River is a free bonus.
Amidst the artworks of Atelier Van Lieshout, in the Brutus sculpture garden, Roffa Mon Amour is hosting a cozy outdoor cinema from August 13th to 24th. Here you'll see films you won't easily find in the main theaters: poetic documentaries, unique feature films, and surprising stories from all corners of the world. You can join for dinner beforehand or be surprised with a blind date. And sometimes there's live music to complete the evening.
Want to combine food and a movie? Then you need to be at Station Bergweg from August 20th to 31st (Wednesday through Sunday). On the rooftop terrace, you can watch culinary film classics like Ratatouille or Druk while enjoying a specially curated menu. The kitchen creates a special meal each evening. The films start at 9:15 PM, just as the sun has set. For €12, you get a movie ticket!
