It's time again for the annual Rotterdam Roof Days! The time to visit a lot of special roofs that are normally not accessible to the public. From May 24 to 26 you can visit more than 60 different roofs: from Rotterdam Centre to Rotterdam South and from De Doelen to De Groene Kaap.
On the roofs you can enjoy various roof routes, tours and even theater performances. It is possible to explore beautiful cycling and walking routes yourself or be led by a guide. Want to know more about the Roof Days 2024? Read it below!
For the eleventh time, the Schouwburgplein will be transformed into a Circus City Festival! This year's theme is 'Powerful Women's Circus', with leading performances and artists. More than half of the more than a hundred circus artists are women!
You are welcome from 1 to 5 May with spectacular shows and a 'Circustad Gala'. In addition to the Schouwburgplein, you will also find performances in Theater Rotterdam, the Doelen, the Luxor Theater, the Maritime Museum and in the Laurenskerk.
On May 5 we celebrate freedom. We do this every year in Rotterdam with the Liberation Festival in Het Park near the Euromast. And as always, admission is free this year.
What can you expect during the Liberation Festival in 2024? Special on this year's line-up is the seven-piece indie pop formation Son Mieux from The Hague. You will also listen to French-Algerian rapper BOEF, the extremely popular singer songwriter Blaudzun, techno DJ and producer Cynthia Spiering and Goldkimono.
On Thursday, May 9, also known as Ascension Day, everyone will be dancing during the annual beach opening in Hoek van Holland! You will be on the beach from Rotterdam Centre in no time, thanks to the super-fast metro connection. See which party you want to attend with your friends and enjoy performances by Jody Bernal, Lucas and Steve, Lady Bee and Kriss Kross Amsterdam.
Do you like opera, music and theater? Then something beautiful is waiting for you from May 16 to 26! Visitors can again visit the most diverse performances for ten full festival days, with the narrative power of the singing voice as a guideline. With more than 60 performances at 30 locations throughout Rotterdam, there is plenty of choice.
