As long as we can remember, the C&A has been in the heart of Rotterdam Centre, on the Coolsingel, above the Koopgoot. But, after more than 70 years, it's time for the store to move.
It may feel abrupt, but the C&A store on Coolsingel has closed permanently. But, the C&A is not completely gone. The store has secured a place in the new Air Rotterdam building, also known as the old V&D building.
With no less than three thousand square meters, the C&A will open its flagship store here. The new Air Rotterdam will also be the place for five floors of offices and two floors of shops with catering facilities.
The opening of the new Air Rotterdam is planned for the autumn of 2022. What does that mean for the C&A? Don't worry, a solution has been devised. The store temporarily moves to the Korte Hoogstraat, where it sells the C&A collection as an outlet!
