Rotterdam Centre has a new face of fashion! Shayron Tremus was named Fashion Mayor of Rotterdam Centre 2026/2027 during the final in the Koopgoot on Saturday afternoon. He convinced the jury with his creative design, in which he incorporated various recognizable elements from Rotterdam.
On Saturday afternoon, the Koopgoot was transformed into a real catwalk. During the final, five finalists showcased their own take on fashion: Naddie, Elise, Venus, Olympia and Shayron. Each with their own distinctive style and personality.
From bold outfits to vintage and upcycled pieces, the different looks showed just how diverse fashion in Rotterdam Centrum can be. Sustainability also played a clear role in the presentations. After all, a great outfit doesn’t always have to be new.
For Shayron, it wasn’t just about his own style. He literally incorporated Rotterdam into his design, using elements that are recognisable from the city and its centre.
The jury was impressed by his creativity and the way he brought together different sides of Rotterdam in his look. The city’s diversity, raw edges, creativity and character were all reflected in his design.
According to the jury, that made his design unmistakably Rotterdam: bold, surprising and full of character.
After the fashion show, Shayron was officially named the Fashion Mayor of Rotterdam Centre for 2026/2027 during a celebratory announcement at HUB, WTC Rotterdam.
And he couldn’t be happier. “After two difficult years, I’ve found my creativity again. Being named Rotterdam’s Fashion Mayor now feels like the perfect reward. I’m incredibly happy and, above all, incredibly proud!”
Shayron will be the face of fashion in Rotterdam Centre for the coming year. You’ll regularly see him in campaigns, on social media and at events and other fashion activities. So: keep an eye out for him!
