IJsvrij is back in Rotterdam Centre! As I write this it is almost twenty degrees, but it is not inconceivable that in a little more than a month the first snowflakes will be decorating the streets of Rotterdam Centre. Winter is closer than you think!
And with the winter comes hot chocolate, snert and very important: ice skating! It's all possible this year in the centre of Rotterdam, on Plein 1940, near the Maritime District.
IJsvrij is back this year and that's really great. The ice rink is open from December 15 to January 8. The Plein 1940 is transformed into a romantic winter paradise, with the ice rink as the centerpiece.
Everyone is welcome at IJsvrij, whether you come with your class, your family, friends or colleagues. Enjoy winter fun in the heart of Rotterdam!
Besides skating there is much more to do at IJsvrij. You can enjoy a cozy Christmas drink, a curling tournament, jeu de puk, ice hockey or a silent disco. Best of all, of course you do it all!
