Holiday gift shopping in Rotterdam Centre
Fancy a spooktacular Halloween? Rotterdam City Centre has plenty to offer towards the end of October. Explore a haunted house, be startled by scare actors in the Koopgoot or kick off your Halloween evening with music and great food. Here are our top picks!
Dare to step inside a haunted house? From 28 to 31 October, an empty retail unit next to Superstellar in Central Plaza will be transformed into a Spooky Circus. Guided by the circus ringmaster, you'll make your way past freaky circus performers, deranged maniacs and terrifying clowns. Lighting, smoke and sound effects will make the experience even more thrilling.
Groups of up to ten visitors can enter at a time. This Halloween attraction is perfect for anyone who enjoys a good scare!
When: 28 to 31 October, from 12 noon to 5 pm.
Halloween is also on the agenda at the Koopgoot. On 28 October, you can visit the glitter tattoo studio between 1 pm and 5 pm. On 30 October, the shopping area gets even spookier, with another glitter tattoo studio and six scare actors dressed up in elaborate costumes and make-up.
It's a fun stop while shopping, especially if you're out and about with children or want to get into the Halloween spirit.

Lush Rotterdam, located on the Beurstraverse, is also hosting special activities throughout October. The shop is organising a range of free events and workshops that are perfect for the spooky season.
On 22 and 23 October, you can make your very own shower gel at Lush. During the activity, the Shower Gel Witch will help you combine different shower gel products to create something unique. You'll leave with not only a fun experience but also your very own handmade product.

On 30 October, Dr Frankenstein will take you through a special chemistry lesson at Lush. During this workshop, you'll discover how to make a bath product with his help. A creative activity with a spooky twist!
When: 30 October, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Tickets cost €10 per person.
On 31 October, head to Foodhallen Rotterdam to kick off your Halloween evening in style. From 6 pm, Arthur Mainx will provide the soundtrack with danceable tunes. Expect an evening full of spooky vibes, delicious food, drinks and a lively atmosphere.
Dig out your scariest, quirkiest or most creative outfit, because fancy dress is rewarded! It's a great place to celebrate Halloween with friends while enjoying a variety of dishes and drinks.

Liever griezelen met waargebeurde verhalen? Met Rotterdam Revealed kun je mee op een duistere historische stadswandeling door Rotterdam. Tijdens deze rondleiding van twee uur neemt een gids je mee langs plekken die verbonden zijn met gruwelijke executies, galgenvelden en heksenjachten uit het verleden van de stad. De wandeling begint op de Binnenrotte.
Aan de hand van meeslepende verhalen en historische foto's ontdek je een heel andere kant van Rotterdam. Onderweg krijg je ook lugubere snacks en een duister drankje aangeboden.
Let op: de tour is Engelstalig en toegankelijk vanaf 14 jaar.
