The annual Bruggenloop is back! On Sunday 14 December, countless Rotterdam runners will once again line up for this well-known race. Covering the classic 15 km course, you’ll run across the city’s famous bridges — including, of course, the iconic Erasmus Bridge.

During the DSW Bruggenloop Rotterdam, a brand-new challenge makes its debut: the King & Queen of the Bridge Challenge. Over a steep 300 metres, from the foot to the top of the iconic Erasmus Bridge, each runner’s climb time is recorded automatically. With additional timing mats placed at the start and finish of the ascent, the exact speed at which participants conquer the bridge is accurately measured.
The results will appear in a separate ranking, alongside the regular 15 km finish times.
