The Rotterdam Roof Days show you how roofs make the city healthier, more vibrant, and more sustainable. You will discover innovative ideas for the use of roofs. This event offers a unique perspective on Rotterdam's urban development by literally placing you above the city.
The Schiekadeblok takes center stage at this event. You will walk across 12 different rooftops in this area, experiencing the history, present, and future of one of the most dynamic parts of the city center. The Schiekadeblok is transforming rapidly; you will witness these changes from a great height.
Walk The Block is a special feature. An elevated walkway with bridges and stairs connects the 12 rooftops in the Schiekadeblok. This allows you to admire architecture and cityscapes that you would otherwise never see. This route offers a unique perspective on the plans for a greener and more modern city.
From the rooftops, you get a good view of the changes in the city. You can see how many new buildings are being constructed and how space is being created for greenery. The Rooftop Days give you the chance to follow the transformation of Rotterdam up close, from a surprising perspective.
The Rotterdam Roof Days mainly take place on May 30, May 31, June 6, and June 7 from 10:00 AM. During the day, you can visit open rooftops with a day pass and book guided tours on small rooftops.
