Visit the two-day winter festival in Rotterdam Ahoy
On December 29th and 30th, Ahoy will transform into a magical winter paradise for the first edition of Winter Wonderland Rotterdam. For two days, the iconic event venue will be filled with lights, winter cheer, and entertainment for all ages.
Visitors stroll through a decorated winter village centered around a large ice rink, open to the public all day long. Surrounding the rink is plenty of space to explore, with winter games, attractions, photo spots, and various places to warm up.
Winter Wonderland has something for everyone. During the day, there is plenty of focus on families, including a show and meet & greet with Woezel & Pip and a children’s circus by Rotjeknor, where kids can really let loose. While they are being entertained, parents can relax and enjoy the winter village.
In the evening, the atmosphere changes and the musical programme gets underway, featuring performances by, among others, André Hazes, surprise shows, and an R&B & Pop Bingo packed with well-known sing-alongs from the 90s, 00s and today. Perfect for a night out with friends!
Spread throughout Ahoy, you’ll find a variety of pop-up restaurants and food stalls offering winter classics and comfort food. Think hot chocolate and coffee from Sydnes, snacks from FC Kip, freshly made oliebollen and other winter treats.
There is also a Sample Sale where visitors can snap up fashion at great discounts. Another notable aspect of the event is its social focus: Winter Wonderland Rotterdam provides space for information and support in areas such as housing, financial self-reliance and participation in sport.
