The largest indoor jazz festival in the world is coming to South Rotterdam for the seventeenth time. Of course I'm talking about NN North Sea Jazz 2025! NN North Sea Jazz 2024 will return to Rotterdam Ahoy on July 11, 12 and 13, 2025.
With over 150 performances spread across 17 stages, legends and new talent from the worlds of jazz, soul, funk and hip-hop are ready to bless us with their music every year. For example, the line-up in 2023 was grand with Stormzy, Typhoon, Gregory Porter, Lizzo and Tom Jones, while in 2024 top artists such as Sting, Joss Stone, Black Pumas were on the program.
Every year, North Sea Jazz offers space to emerging talent that deserves a stage with the Codarts Talent Stage. Here come the exceptionally musically gifted students of 'Hogeschool voor de Kunsten' Codarts who are eager to show their talent and thus blow the audience away with their music.
With over 150 performances, chances are you'll have a great time. This year, big names are on the schedule again, with vocals playing the leading role. The striking voices of Jacob Collier, Samara Joy and Lady Blackbird, and promising newcomers such as Christie Dashiell, Ganavya and aja monet steal the show.
The big stars this year are Diana Ross, Norah Jones, Mary J. Blige and Maxwell, who bring the rich heritage of soul, R&B and gospel to life. But don't forget Celeste, Jorja Smith and Thee Sacred Souls who will undoubtedly blow you away.
In addition, there is plenty of room for vocal ensembles such as ZO! Gospel Choir and Arp Frique & The Perpetual Singers. Martin Fondse brings his Voice Orchestra, including the six-part Vox Sturnus.
