Looking for something fun to do in September in Rotterdam? Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it anymore. A beautiful late summer awaits us, with a few very nice events in September.

Opening Basecamp Rotterdam

The doors of Basecamp Rotterdam will open on September 1! This new hotspot will be the first sustainable concept store with coffee bar in Rotterdam Noord. Thanks to the beautiful travels of owners Florian and Nadia, they offer amazing products that tell a (sustainable) story. (Local) makers are also given a place here to sell their products. Of course with a good coffee menu including snacks.

StoryTrail Theater walk through Rotterdam

Every Saturday evening in September you can join the StoryTrail theater walks. This is completely dedicated to history and strong city stories.

Storyteller Jacobus is your guide and together with him you wander through the 1920s and 1930s. In the beautiful setting of harbours, quays and skyscrapers you come face to face with the Rotterdammers of yesteryear. Jacobus tells the story of the Rotterdam crisis years with humour, a touch of melancholy and love for the city. Come along and experience a wonderful storytelling adventure.

The StoryTrail Theater Walk Rotterdam starts every Saturday evening in September 2023 at 8:00 PM. Interested? Reserve your spot now with the discount code STORYTRAIL-7337KRT and pay only € 17.50 per person (children: € 11.05).

Night of the Cape

Life songs and tall tales is the motto of the Night of the Cape. On September 2, you dance the night away in the Katendrecht district. In the former red light district you will experience 'a moonlit night full of things that the sunlight cannot bear'.

During a very pleasant evening you can enjoy live music such as ska, hip-hop, rock, pop and soul from the Netherlands and abroad. Eat at the food courts and jump into a bath full of Rotterdam Folklore during the Ode to the Night.

The Night of the Cape takes place in Katendrecht, but also on the most beautiful non-sailing cruise ship in the world: the SS Rotterdam. Dance in the beautiful 50s style halls and enjoy Rotterdam cosiness!

The goal of ALL CAPS is to make high-quality art accessible. This year again, the event allows anyone who wants to take a look for free into the process of an artist and into the culture involved in street art.

Expect crazy murals from the best graffiti artists in the world! In addition, there is also room for other art disciplines within the hip-hop scene such as spoken word.
