In the days leading up to Christmas, a mysterious Advent calendar will be displayed in the Koopgoot. This Advent calendar is full of surprises and offers an interactive Christmas experience for all ages.

On December 20th, Jordan Roy will take the stage to delight all Koopgoot visitors with a live performance. The Christmas spirit is guaranteed, with songs from WHAM!, George Michael, and more. Want to be sure to catch him? Be there at 14:30!
December is not only the month of lights and festive cheer, but also a time for reflection. During the Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks, in the days leading up to Christmas, we take a moment to remember remarkable Rotterdammers who are no longer with us but remain forever in our hearts – including Gerard Cox and Joke Bruijs.
In the days before Christmas, the Koopgoot transforms into a musical homage. Well-known Rotterdam songs fill the passageway as a salute to Joke and Gerard, to our city, and to icons who thankfully are still with us, such as Lee Towers.
On 23 December, Sjoerd Pleijsier treats the audience to a dose of pure nostalgia from the 3.5-metre-high advent cube. Expect classics such as Schuit van Blonde Arie (an ode to Gerard Cox & Joke Bruijs), My Way (for Lee Towers) and of course Rotterdam wordt wakker, celebrating the city itself.
Glenda Peters will also take to the stage that afternoon. With her warm voice, she performs both soulful songs and personal tributes, including Rotterdam and Vlinders, which she dedicates to her mother, who passed away last year.
The performances take place on 23 December from 15:00 to 15:45 in the Koopgoot. Admission is free.
From December 12th to January 4th, Rotterdam's city centre will be filled with light, camaraderie, and coziness during the Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks. The heart of the city will be transformed into an atmospheric winter wonderland with illuminated buildings, squares, and streets, and a vibrant light parade (the Rotterdam Warm Winter Parade) will kick off a heartwarming winter season.
