Good news for lovers of unique gifts, creativity, and winter cheer: The Maker Market is returning to the Groot Handelsgebouw this year. From December 12th to 14th, the iconic courtyard—right next to Rotterdam Central Station—will be transformed into a festive Christmas market full of lights, music, and a wealth of Rotterdam makers.
During this extra-large three-day edition, you'll discover more than 70 local makers every day. Think illustrations, ceramics, jewelry, clothing, natural care products, and other artisanal items you won't easily find anywhere else. Perfect for anyone looking for an original Christmas gift or simply enjoying exploring creativity and craftsmanship.
Besides shopping, you can also get creative yourself: The Maker Market offers various workshops, from creative to artisanal. Perfect for warming up and exploring your creative side.
Of course, there are also plenty of winter treats. With warm mulled wine, hot chocolate, and food trucks stocked with comfort food, this is the place to get into the Christmas spirit. DJs and live performers will provide a festive soundtrack all weekend long.
An added bonus: the first 50 visitors per day receive a free mulled wine or hot chocolate. So arrive early!
