Rotterdam City Centre has a new style ambassador: Olivia Rosalinda Pattiwael was named Fashion Mayor of Rotterdam City Centre 2025 during a vibrant finale.
The election concluded with a fashion show on Hoogstraat, followed by a celebratory announcement in the impressive AIR Skyline Pavilion, where Olivia officially received the title and accompanying necklace. The winner also received a check for €5,000 in store credit from Rotterdam Centre, €150 in store credit from P&C, and a pair of stylish sunglasses from Shady 91.
The jury praised Olivia for her distinctive style, creative vision, and the way she translates the diverse fashion offerings of Rotterdam Centre into accessible fashion.
On Saturday afternoon, the Hoogstraat was the location for the open-air catwalk in the heart of Rotterdam. The three finalists—Olivia, Yfke, and Maria—presented their personal visions of style to the public. Visitors witnessed an energetic mix of local fashion and live music with a Rotterdam twist.
This unique fashion show literally and figuratively gave the city a platform for creativity. Local entrepreneurs like Donna Colori, Just Brands, and Peace of Rock showcased their latest collections on the catwalk and, along with Manfield, Vondel Gym, Swapshop, Oakberry, and Ici Paris, provided well-stocked goodie bags.
Afterward, the programme moved to the AIR Skyline Pavilion, part of the iconic AIR Offices in the former V&D building. This location, which symbolizes connection, innovation, and sustainability, provided the perfect setting for the winner's announcement.
The new Fashion Mayor was festively honoured in the presence of the jury, press, partners, and invited guests. The title is symbolized by a striking necklace and a year-long ambassadorship on behalf of Rotterdam City Centre.
The jury consisted of experts from the fashion and creative sectors, including Pauline Buurma (Organization Director Rotterdam Centre), Odair Pereira (former Fashion Mayor of Rotterdam Centre), Jurgen Visser (Regional Sales Manager NL/B at Peek & Cloppenburg), and Nick (owner and designer of Shady 91). Odair Pereira briefly reflected on his own year as style ambassador:
"This year as fashion mayor brought me so much inspiration, joy, and connection with the city. For me, Rotterdam is a platform for greatness. I hope Olivia dares to make it even bigger."
