What are the up to date opening hours of shops in Rotterdam Centre? In Rotterdam you can shop seven days a week. Below you will find useful information about the opening times in our city centre.
Retailers can determine their opening hours themselves, as long as it falls between 06.00 and 22.00. On Sundays and public holidays, shops may be open between 08.00 and 22.00. That is why it differs per store what the opening times are.
Most shops in the centre are open during the week and on Saturdays from 10 AM to 7 PM. Would you like to shop for as long as possible? Then visit Rotterdam Centre on a late shopping evening on Friday, when most shops are open until 9 PM. But don't worry, more and more stores are also deciding to stay open longer during the week. For example, the Bijenkorf, Sting, Cotton Club, Primark and the Media Markt are open until 8 or 9 PM!
On Sundays and public holidays, most shops in Rotterdam Centre are open from 12.00 to 18.00.
Shopping during the holidays is great fun, but adjusted opening hours can sometimes be confusing. Below is a brief overview of key spring holidays.
Good Friday opening hours
Friday 3 April is Good Friday. On this day, you can shop into the evening just like any other Friday. It will therefore be a regular late-night shopping evening as usual.
Easter Sunday opening hours
Sunday 5 April is Easter Sunday, when shops in Rotterdam are open from 12:00 to 18:00.
Easter Monday opening hours
Monday 6 April is Easter Monday, when shops in Rotterdam are open from 12:00 to 18:00.
King’s Day opening hours
On the King’s birthday, shops in Rotterdam city centre will be open as usual! On Monday 27 April, they will be open from 9:00 or 10:00 until 18:00.
Whit Sunday opening hours
Sunday 24 May is Whit Sunday, when shops in Rotterdam are open from 12:00 to 18:00.
Whit Monday opening hours
The same applies to Whit Monday: on Monday 25 June, shops in Rotterdam are open from 12:00 to 18:00.
In addition to Rotterdam Centre, you can also go outside the centre for nice shops. Have you ever been to the Alexandrium Shopping Centre? This is located outside the centre and is very easy to reach by metro. Get off at metro station Alexander or Oosterflank. Curious about what times you can shop here?
