It's almost time; the Sugar Feast is coming. The Islamic holiday that celebrates the end of Ramadan. To surprise everyone who has fasted in the past month, boxes will be handed out in Rotterdam Centre from 1 May, filled with delicious sweets.

Happy Sugar Feast

The Sugar Feast marks the end of Ramadan; the month that Muslims fast. A month of reflection. When it comes to an end, people gather to celebrate. Visiting each other, giving presents and sharing the tastiest (sweet) snacks; there is a lot going on.

Box of sweets

To celebrate the end of Ramadan, a surprise will be given in various shops in Rotterdam Centre on Sunday May 1st. When buying something, you will receive a very delicious box of Halal candy, with the title 'Happy Sugar Feast' on it. Depending on the calculation method of the country of origin, candy can then be enjoyed at 2 or 3 May. Only a few days left!
