Curious about the people behind Rotterdam's Warm Winter Weeks? Meet the people creating a city full of light, connection, and creativity this winter.

From December 12, 2025, to January 4, 2026, Rotterdam's city centre will be the setting for the Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks. Rotterdam entrepreneurs, creators, and residents are collaborating on a programme filled with light, connection, and creativity, to offer the city extra warmth and connection this winter. The initiative is free to attend and is open to all Rotterdam residents and visitors to the city centre.

In a new interview series, we meet the initiators and creators involved—the "city warmers." They are the driving force behind the activities that will bring colour and meaning to the city this winter.

Here's what's happening during the Rotterdam Warm Winter Weeks

This winter, the heart of the city will be transformed into an atmospheric winter wonderland with illuminated buildings, squares, and streets, and a vibrant parade of lights (the Rotterdam Warm Winter Parade) will kick off a heartwarming winter season.
