THOMS Underground Bar reopens

Good news! After a period of closure, the Underground Bar at THOMS is reopening its doors! Starting Friday, April 24, the iconic Underground Bar will be open again every Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to 03:00 for everyone who wants to keep the night going into the early hours.

Beneath the well-known THOMS, tucked away in the basement, things have been quiet for some time. But those who know the place know: this is where you go for a guaranteed great night out. Thankfully, the energy is returning. Every Friday and Saturday, the Underground Bar is once again open to anyone who’s not quite ready to head home.

According to co-owner Thom van Zanten, the reopening feels like more than just unlocking the door. “The Underground Bar is part of THOMS. This is where the night really comes alive. Being able to open again feels like coming home.”

In the meantime, work has been going on behind the scenes to give the space a fresh update. Expect the same familiar atmosphere, now with a new look.

Opening night with familiar names

The reopening on Friday 24 April kicks off in style. With Rotterdam DJs Doris Bae and QUINO behind the decks, the tone is set straight away: danceable, energetic and exactly what you’d expect from a classic THOMS night.

Expect a packed dance floor, familiar faces and that signature mix of spontaneity and laid-back atmosphere the Underground Bar is known for.

And it doesn’t stop at just one night. In the first weeks after reopening, THOMS is going all in on surprises, with special offers and unexpected DJ sets.
