Great news! The organisation behind #RotterdamCentre, Urban Department Store Rotterdam (UDSRotterdam), has joined Green Business Club Rotterdam Centre (GBC RC).
GBC RC is an impact organisation that focuses on concrete results by focusing on sustainable projects in the centre of Rotterdam.
For those who didn't know yet: UDSRotterdam works for real estate owners, restaurant owners and retailers in the centre of Rotterdam. These entrepreneurs are located in the BIZ area, which includes the Central Plaza, Kruiskade, Lijnbaan area (including Korte Lijnbaan and Binnenwegplein), Koopgoot, Beursplein and WTC shops. By collaborating with GBC RC, we can help all members of UDSRotterdam to make their business operations more sustainable.
Marlou van Cappellen of UDSRotterdam: “By joining the GBC RC, we gain expertise in the subject of sustainability. We know how to put #RotterdamCentre on the map like no other, organize impactful events and ensure a high level of clean, intact and safety."
"Together with the GBC RC, we can now also work on the opportunities we see in supporting sustainable business operations for our members. We're already looking forward to rolling out the toolbox, which will be a very valuable step," says Marlou.
At #RotterdamCentre and UDS we recognize that sustainability and sustainable business operations are of undeniable value for the future. By collaborating with GBC RC, we bring in expertise and together we can create more impact.
In addition, we can use the expertise of the GBC RC in 2022 to develop a toolbox for our members that includes concrete recommendations, quick wins and opportunities for sustainable business operations, focusing on the topics of energy, waste & circularity, logistics, mobility and climate adaptation.
Of course, sustainability is an important value for UDSRotterdam in the choices we make from the collective point of view. Whether it is the organisation of an event or the purchase of products or services. Sustainability is always decisive. This means, for example, that we prefer local suppliers and products that can be reused and generate as little CO2 emissions as possible.
